The Bog Mckenna, retails for $250. A little steep for a rain boot, right? WRONG. So wrong. The Bog Mckenna is made from a treated leather, which covers their infamous neo-tech upper. Alright, if you’re scoffing my above attempt to convince you, or are still suffering from price shock: Breathe. I’ll take it down a notch or two (hundred) for you newbies and pinchers. Finally, I have a bit of a tease because these are going to be hard to get! Sorry.. But how can I not feature these? It’s rain boot magic. They feel like your favorite knit scarf, they look like the trendiest leopard sweater in your favorite boutique, Oh- but they keep your feet dry! Yup, no big deal. I don’t really understand this wizardry, but I like it. This knit-feel rain boot can be worn slouchy, up high and proud, with skinnies, or with a skirt. Are you one of the lucky travelers of the world? Roll em up and take them with you. Doesn’t even have to be raining. There is always time to show your wild side. Maybe you aren’t so wild.. Camping/Hotels/Cabins.. Same thing?

Our Twitter and Facebook fans may already know that we have camping on the brain! After comparing stories in the office… We all seem to have completely different opinions and thoughts about camping.

Shanda shared a bit of a snotty story, and left us with some great visuals. Shanda accidentally brought a cold with her on her last camping trip. A tent full of Kleenex, and a sleeping bag tightened up so much, only to leave a small breathing hole. Roasting Nyquil over an open fire somehow doesn’t compare to marshmallows?

Caron (our “bean counter” if you will) just got back from her “camping” trip. Her version of camping is starting to sound a lot better then Shanda’s. A hotel room, and a hot shower? Okay, okay… Probably doesn’t even fall close to the outdoorsy/camping category. Let’s just call it “Caron Camping”

Brianna is probably the best one to school us on camping. This girl goes every July with her family! I played news reporter and got the scoop about what real camping is: Family swims (everyone has to get off the boat and swim together), water sports, intense bike rides, and blueberry fields. They also set up their own 18 hole pitch and putt. They play for the Silken Blanc a.k.a white jacket (apparently it’s a golfing inside joke.. ) (I don’t get it) (I don’t golf)

And where do I stand in this wide array of camping visions? Well, to be honest I don’t think I have been inside a tent since elementary school. To avoid sounding like a total city girl, I do make an annual trip back to my hometown, Kelowna, and rent a cabin with the fam! When we started going, the cabins were.. Ghetto fabulous? Every year my mom convinced my dad to “upgrade”. Slowly but surely, we now rent the cabin that comes equipped with a kitchen and a bathroom. I have now drilled this into my dad’s head: “No bathroom, no Kathryn”
