When I was approached to support and promote Artists is our Midst, I jumped at the chance. Not only is it a fantastic event in our community…..but it made me also realise that creativity definitely runs in my blood….but painting, you can forget it!!! If its stick people you want then I’m your gal. Anything beyond that….is totally over my head.
Artists in Our Midst is an organization of artists dedicated to promoting the visual arts by creating a network of artist who create exhibitions and other events on the west side of Vancouver, B.C. It is a grassroots organization run by the participating artists. It is the first of such groups in Vancouver.
Every spring, Artists in Our Midst hosts an Art Walk of artist venues and studios that are open to the public. The event begins with Jump Start, an opening night preview exhibition of new works by participating artists, followed by a two-day Art Walk. Read more….
